These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Cisco Umbrella subscription service ("the Service") provided by Valeo ApS ("Valeo", "we", "us"), CVR number 31493854, Herstedvang 8, 2620 Albertslund, Denmark, through the umbrella.valeo.dk platform. By creating an account, you accept these Terms in full.
Valeo is a Cisco partner reselling and managing Cisco Umbrella, a cloud-delivered DNS and web security service, to businesses in Denmark and abroad. The Service includes account setup, endpoint registration and management, security policy configuration, and ongoing billing for usage of Cisco Umbrella under your account.
The Service is intended for business customers (registered with a CVR number or equivalent foreign business registration), not private consumers.
Valeo provides unlimited support for the Cisco Umbrella service itself, at no additional cost and with no limit on the number of support requests. This covers matters such as account and endpoint configuration, connectivity issues, policy setup, and troubleshooting the Umbrella client or dashboard.
This support does not extend to remediation of the threats that Umbrella detects and blocks. For example, if Umbrella blocks a piece of malware from communicating and flags this to you, we will support you in understanding and confirming that finding - but removing the malware from the affected device is not covered by this support. This remains your responsibility, whether carried out by you or by an external company you engage to do so.
To use the Service, you must register an account and provide accurate company information, including your CVR number, contact details, and a valid billing method. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide.
You may sign up either as a direct customer, or as a partner reselling the Service to your own customers under a separate arrangement with Valeo.
Pricing is usage-based and tiered according to the number of protected endpoints ("units"), as published on our pricing page. Each tier's rate applies only to units within that band (a graduated/progressive structure, similar to a tax bracket) - it is not a flat rate applied to your entire unit count.
Your bill for a given month is calculated in advance, based on the number of endpoints registered on your account on the last day of the previous month. This means: if you sign up partway through a month, that first partial month is not billed - your first invoice covers the following month instead. Endpoints added during a month are not billed until the following month. Endpoints removed during a month do not reduce the amount already invoiced for that month, since it was calculated in advance from the prior month's snapshot.
Promo codes, where applicable, provide a percentage discount for as long as the code remains valid and active; a discount tied to an expired or deactivated promo code will no longer apply to future bills, even if you were using it previously.
If you choose to pay by card, you authorize Valeo to automatically charge the card on file each month for the amount due, calculated as described above. No charge is made at signup - only a small verification amount is authorized to confirm the card is valid.
Before each monthly charge, you will receive an invoice and an email notification at least 7 days in advance, stating the exact amount and the exact date your card will be charged. By choosing card payment, you consent to this recurring, automatic billing arrangement. You may cancel your subscription at any time before a scheduled charge date to avoid that charge (see Section 5).
If a scheduled card charge fails (for example, due to an expired or declined card), we will notify you by email and ask you to update your payment card. If the card is not updated within 14 days of the failed charge, your subscription will be terminated and all endpoints registered to your account will be removed from the Service.
If you choose invoice payment, you will receive a monthly invoice via our accounting system (e-conomic) for the amount due, payable according to the payment terms stated on the invoice. Invoice payment is not automatically deducted; you are responsible for paying each invoice by its due date.
Valeo does not collect, see, or store your card details at any point. Card payments are handled entirely by QuickPay, a PCI DSS-compliant payment service provider, via their own secure hosted payment page.
As a business-to-business service, statutory consumer withdrawal rights do not apply. Cancellation is instead governed by Section 5 below.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting Valeo. Cancellation takes effect from the date requested; you remain responsible for any usage-based charges already incurred up to that date. There is no minimum commitment period unless otherwise agreed separately in writing.
Alternatively, if you are a direct customer, you may delete your own account immediately via the "Edit Account Information" page while logged in. Doing so immediately and permanently removes all endpoints registered to your account from Cisco Umbrella (they will lose internet access until the Umbrella client is uninstalled from each device), and permanently deletes your card payment information from our payment provider, QuickPay. This action cannot be undone.
Valeo reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, misuse of the Service, or breach of these Terms, with reasonable notice where practical.
If you have a complaint about your bill, the Service, or anything else related to your account, please contact us at info@valeo.dk or +45 70 220 720. We aim to respond to all complaints promptly.
While Valeo works to ensure high availability of the Service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, as the Service depends in part on third-party infrastructure (Cisco Umbrella, QuickPay, e-conomic). To the extent permitted by Danish law, Valeo's liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service is excluded.
Our collection and use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email.
These Terms are governed by Danish law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts.
