Valeo ApS ("Valeo", "we", "us"), CVR number 31493854, Herstedvang 8, 2620 Albertslund, Denmark, is the data controller for personal data processed through the umbrella.valeo.dk platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights regarding it.

1. What We Collect

When you or your organization sign up for or use the Service, we collect:

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number.
• Company details: company name, CVR (or equivalent business registration) number, address.
• Account credentials: a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
• Billing information: your chosen billing method, and usage data (endpoint counts) used to calculate your monthly bill.
• Endpoint/device data registered to your account for the purpose of applying Cisco Umbrella security policies.

We never collect, see, or store your payment card details. Card payments are handled entirely by QuickPay's own secure hosted payment page - Valeo's systems never receive or store your card number, expiry date, or security code.

2. Why We Process This Data

• To provide the Service - creating and managing your account, registering endpoints, and applying security policies (necessary for performance of our contract with you).
• To bill you correctly - calculating usage-based charges and issuing invoices or processing card payments (necessary for performance of our contract with you, and to meet our accounting obligations under Danish law).
• To communicate with you about your account - including advance notice before any automatic card charge, service updates, and responses to support requests (necessary for performance of our contract, or our legitimate interest in keeping you informed).

3. Who We Share Data With

We share the minimum necessary data with the following processors, solely to provide the Service:

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and do not share it beyond what's listed above except where required by law.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain account and contact data for as long as you have an active account with us. Financial records (invoices, billing history) are retained for at least 5 years after the end of the relevant financial year, as required under the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Bogføringsloven). Data relating to a closed account that is not required for accounting purposes will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after account closure.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data, where we are not required to retain it (e.g. for accounting purposes).
• Object to or request restriction of certain processing.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk, if you believe we have not handled your data properly.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted (SSL/TLS) connections to our platform, securely hashed passwords, and access controls limiting who can view customer data internally.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

The platform uses your browser's session storage to remember your selected language during a visit. This is not a persistent tracking cookie and does not identify you personally; it is cleared when you close your browser session.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "last updated" date.
