You decide how strict the protection should be. Both levels come with a protection policy that determines which types of content and threats get blocked - and it's set individually for each device. A laptop that travels a lot can have a stricter policy than a fixed office PC.
You can also choose to force search engines that support SafeSearch to always use it - so you avoid inappropriate search results, no matter who's searching.
